About the emergency medical service
The medical emergency service at Mariánské Lázně Hospital (hereinafter referred to as "EMS") is outpatient care provided to patients in cases of sudden changes in health status or worsening of the course of the disease, which occurred outside the regular office hours of the medical care provider. EMS is in no way intended to be for routine examination or treatment procedures that can be requested during the normal daily operation of a medical facility.
Emergency medical service is not intended to provide care for conditions that:
- are life threatening for the affected person
- can lead to sudden death by deepening disease changes
- causes permanent disease changes without prompt provision of professional first aid
- causes suffering and sudden pain
- causes changes in the behavior and actions of the affected person, endangering him or his surroundings.
In these cases, it’s necessary to immediately contact the Medical Rescue Service by the number 155 or by the international number 112.
