Stay in inpatient wards

Dear patients,

after receiving and filling in the registration for hospitalization in our department, you will first be placed on a bed, you will change your clothes, you will store your personal belongings in personal lockers or a central dressing room, you will be able to store valuables, jewelry and larger amounts of cash in the so-called hospital deposit boxes.

Nursing documentation and a medical record will be established for you. You will then be examined by a doctor who will determine the treatment plan, medical examinations and treatment regimen. The doctor will inform you clearly about your treatment plan, and based on this, you will be presented with the so-called "informed consent of the patient" to read and sign, where you express your consent to the offered treatment and planned examinations.

For patients with limited legal capacity, the consent to treatment is signed by the patient's legal representative. If you want to refuse the treatment suggested by the doctor, you have the right to this decision, in the presence of at least one other witness, you will then sign the negative reverse. The doctor will of course warn you about the consequences of your decision.

After being accepted by the doctor, our staff will put you to bed, familiarize you with the department, the residence regulations and the rights of patients. Together, you will decide to which relatives and close people your attending physician will be able to provide information about your health condition. You also have the right to prohibit the submission of such information.

If you are receiving a pension and your stay in the hospital will be longer, use the possibility of receiving the pension by your spouse, or you can keep it in the post office. If you are hospitalized for more than 30 days, you can receive your pension in our hospital.

In case of any questions or ambiguities, do not hesitate to contact the nursing staff and our social worker.

During the entire hospitalization, you will be cared for by our team of healthcare workers, with whom you should cooperate, inform them about any changes in your health condition. In the event of a sudden change in health, call the staff using the signaling device that is placed next to each bed.

In our departments, the health status of the sick is checked daily by the treating doctors. A primary visit then takes place once a week. From June 1, 2017, regular rehabilitation visits were started on the LNP and DLP beds under the guidance of the RHB head physician MUDr. Samka.

Dear patients, ask your relatives to observe the recommended visiting hours in our hospital. Be tolerant and considerate of each other and roommates in individual rooms. If you leave the ward during the day, notify the medical staff.

You have the right to the presence of a clergyman during hospitalization, if you are interested, contact a social worker or medical staff who will provide you with such services.

Meals for our patients according to their designated dietary regimes are provided by an external supplier, the company Stravbyt Planá u ML , s.r.o.. Consult your doctor or nurse about the consumption of your own food so that your treatment is not disturbed. On the ground floor of the hospital there is a machine for coffee, drinks, baguettes and sweets.

In case of dissatisfaction, you have the right to file a complaint. At any time, you can contact the senior staff of the department, the social worker, or submit a complaint in writing or verbally at the secretariat of the company executives on the ground floor of the hospital building. You can also use an anonymous mailbox located in the department for complaints or other suggestions to improve the quality of the care provided.

Please respect the ban on smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages during your hospitalization on the hospital premises.

The attending physician and the head of the relevant department decide on discharge to home treatment or transfer to another department. When you are discharged, you will be issued with a discharge medical report, which you will hand over to your general practitioner within 3 days. The medical report will describe the course of treatment in our department, diagnoses and recommendations for further treatment. Your attending physician will instruct you on how to behave at home after discharge, what regimen to follow, which medications to take and what to avoid.
