The payment of a pension to a medical facility is governed by § 116d of Act No. 582/1991 Coll. on the organization and implementation of social security.
If the pensioner's stay in the inpatient care provider's medical facility lasts longer than 1 calendar month or if it can be assumed that this stay will last longer than the stated period, the pensioner can, if the pension is paid in cash, request the payment of the pension until of this medical facility.
If the length of the patient's hospitalization in the Hospital Mariánské Lázně s.r.o. fulfills their right to submit an application, the department where they are hospitalized at the time will allow them to write their own application for the payment of a pension in cash to the medical facility. (The application is available at the social department)
The applicant must be able to write and sign this application.
The completed and confirmed application for pension payment will be sent by the department to any establishment of the holder of the postal license – the post office. The application can be forwarded to the social department, which will arrange for the application to be forwarded to the post office.
Mariánské Lázně Hospital s.r.o. will receive the pension through the Admissions Office. Immediately after receiving the pension, the staff of the Admissions Office will arrange for it to be handed over to the social department, then it will be handed over to the patient, together with a record of the handing over of the pension.
In the event that the pensioner requests the deposit of the pension or is unable to receive the pension themself, the staff of the Mariánské Lázně Hospital s.r.o. will ensure storing it in a safe or in a deposit account.
It is not possible for the patient's relatives to apply to the relevant post office for the pension to be sent to the hospital without the patient submitting an application. Sometimes the patient's condition does not allow the submission of an application or the receipt of a pension against their signature. Then the delivery of the pension cannot be made and it is necessary for the relatives to solve the collection of the pension from the post office in other ways, in particular to request the establishment of the status of a special recipient of the pension at the municipal or city office in the place of permanent residence of the patient.
If the pension is not collected from the post office, the post office is obliged to deposit 2 consecutive pensions, the third pension is then returned together with the previous deposited pensions to the Czech Social Security Administration in Prague. The payment of the pension is thus stopped until the recipient of the pension registers - they must apply to the CSSA for retroactive payment of the pension.
