About the orthopedic department

At the orthopedic outpatient department, we deal with not only diagnostic but also therapeutic activities. We mainly focus on the issue of joint replacements (so-called endoprostheses), sports injuries and arthroscopy of the musculoskeletal system. We treat both acutely occurring conditions, as well as post-traumatic controls or treatment of long-term diseases.

The department uses our available complement, including a laboratory, X-ray and CT examination, and, in case of indications, the possibility of administering analgesic - myorelaxant infusions at the day-time infusion station, which was opened in our hospital in January 2017. As a part of interdisciplinary cooperation, a close link is created with our rehabilitation workplace and physiotherapy, surgery and neurology.
