About the internal ambulance and the infusion station

INTERNAL THERAPY AMBULANCE

Internal therapy is one of the basic branches of clinical medicine. It deals with diagnostics and mainly non-surgical treatment of diseases of internal organs of adults. The ambulance provides specialized care for patients with internal diseases, consultations for outpatients, for patients hospitalized on LTC and POC departments of our hospital, performs internal dispensary care, pre-operative internal examinations, echocardiographic examinations of the heart and others. The office is equipped with an EKG, a Holter blood pressure monitoring device, a pulse oximeter and a QuickRead Go® diagnostic device for quick determination of hemoglobin and CRP values. The ambulance closely cooperates with the internal ambulance of the catchment hospital in Cheb, as well as with the workplaces of faculty and other hospitals with specialized centers.

The internal ambulance can also boast of modern diagnostic devices - self-adhesive LiveECG Holters.

Holter ECG has great importance in the diagnosis of transient rhythm disorders. The new devices will help our doctors during the examination, which is especially suitable for assessing the presence and type of arrhythmia in patients with irregular heartbeat, a feeling of palpitations, and a previous disturbance of consciousness. It also helps us diagnose the causes of shortness of breath and chest pain, when nothing is detected during standard examinations, including a classic ECG. This method also allows, to a limited extent, to evaluate the activity of the so-called autonomic nervous system, or to suspect the presence of ischemic heart disease. A 24-hour ECG recording obtained during Holter monitoring has a much higher chance of detecting rhythm disorders than a classic ECG recording only a few seconds of heart activity.

Thanks to the use of a single connecting electrode in conjunction with the most modern hardware and software technology, LiveECG enables continuous recording of long-term ECGs for more than 24 hours with very high signal quality and at the same time maximum comfort for the patient. By eliminating previously used cables and thanks to integrated intelligence, LiveECG requires almost no operational steps, allowing ECG recording (especially in ambulatory applications for the elderly) without affecting patients in their usual environment and quality of life. For the first time, it enables practical, efficient and safe long-term ECG recordings "continuously". LiveECG is almost invisible under clothing, does not restrict patient’s movements and, moreover, sport activities do not deteriorate the quality of the signal.

The obtained data will be evaluated by our doctor, who will then decide on the type of therapy.

Infusion station

An infusion station is registered with the internal ambulance, which provides infusion therapy in an outpatient form, with the provision of vasodilator, analgesic or vitamin infusions according to the prescription or recommendation of doctors from the field of internal medicine, neurology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, ENT and others.

Information for patients

 The last patient at the internal therapy department will be treated 30 minutes before the end of working hours.
