About the social work
The hospital's social worker is available to patients and their relatives when dealing with existing or newly arising negative social consequences of their illness. The target group is people who are no longer able to manage the situation on their own due to illness, disability, loss of self-sufficiency, loneliness or insufficient social background.
Services provided for our patients include, for example:
- provision of health and social counseling in relation to illness
- provision of the information on state social support benefits
- provision of information and assistance in applying to homes for the elderly

- assistance in providing hostels or shelters for homeless people
- assistance to patients when communicating with state administration authorities
- helping families deal with issues related to the death of their relatives
- assistance in providing follow-up ambulatory care or additional inpatient care as indicated by the doctor
- ensuring the transfer of pension for patients who have been hospitalized for more than 30 calendar days, and who are not able to solve the problem of receiving the pension in another way
